Unlocking the Rhenoplos Egg Location in Monster Hunter Rise

As an avid Monster Hunter Rise gamer boasting 500+ hours of playtime, I‘ve completed my fair share of obscure ingredient delivery quests. But few items spark my curiosity more than the elusive Rhenoplos eggs needed to craft special Dango at the Canteen.

In this comprehensive guide from a fellow hunter, you‘ll discover everything required to track down Rhenoplos egg locations hidden deep in the Sandy Plains, along with pro tips to safely store your fragile cargo back at camp.

The Story Behind Bunny Dango-With Eggs

Let‘s quickly cover some backstory, because context makes gathering ingredients more meaningful…

The Bunny Dango-With Eggs delivery quest that demands Rhenoplos eggs is issued by Yomogi – the adorable Canteen chef apprentice always experimenting with new culinary ideas.

According to Yomogi during the quest brief cutscene, Rhenoplos eggs are the essential final component allowing her to produce a test batch of her latest Dizzybloom Bunny Dango invention.

Bunny Dango-With Eggs Quest Description

Yomogi‘s instructions upon starting the delivery quest.

This dizzy Dango promises to cause monsters to become stunned and disoriented more frequently during hunts. So naturally I jumped at the opportunity to unlock access to this tactical new buff!

After successfully gathering and delivering an intact Rhenoplos egg, Yomogi kindly rewarded my efforts with a sample serving of freshly cooked Dizzybloom Bunny Dango.

And let me confirm – true to its name, consuming this stuffed Dango pre-hunt has resulted in significantly more monster stumbling and dizziness when striking their weak points with my Insect Blade!

Now let‘s get down to business so you can claim this power-packed meal buff for yourself too…

Pinpointing the Hidden Rhenoplos Nest

With Yomogi‘s very important request logged to fetch a Rhenoplos egg, the first step is equipping for the mission.

After eating food and preparing my loadout with spare health items, I departed to Sandy Plains – the documented habitat of Rhenoplos breeding grounds.

Rhenoplos Nest Detailed Map Location in Sandy Plains Area 11

Making my way from the main camp in Area 2, I passed through each adjacent zone until reaching Area 11 Underground in the northwest corner. This dim, sandy area riddled with cliffs and tunnels has been dubbed "Rhenoplos Nest" by hunters.

And surely enough, tucked away at the top right ledge of Area 11 lies the inconspicuous mound of hay housing our fragile objective – Rhenoplos eggs!

🥚 Pro Tip: With sufficient sleep resistance and hopping platforms, you can narrowly mount this ledge with the egg without requiring use of Wirebugs. Then leap down carefully to the lower path.

Now came the true test: swiftly navigating back to deliver this Account Item fully intact. No sweat, right?

Transporting Your Cargo Safely Through Sandy‘s Labyrinth

Journeying out of the Rhenoplos Nest unscathed with egg in hand offers multiple paths back to Area 2‘s base camp.

However, through much trial and error across my decades as a Monster Hunter, I‘ve confirmed the optimal route avoiding mishaps is as follows:

  • Exit Rhenoplos Nest zone bottom left
  • Hug left through Area 10 tunnel leading to Area 9
  • Drop down to Area 5‘s lower level
  • Use Wirebug or slide down wall back to Area 4
  • Travel straight across to Sandy Plains main camp

You might be wondering:

"Why not just return the way I came through Areas 11 → 10 → 9 → 8 → 7 → 2?"

Well, the primary risk is increased chances of an unwelcome Rathian or Diablos ambush! Plus more opportunities to accidentally roll and crack your egg.

Whereas circling back using Areas 5 and 4 provides flatter terrain while skipping unnecessary conflict.

Emergency Egg Preservation Maneuvers

Sometimes, despite our best efforts, an aggressive Rhenoplos or surprise apex Arzuros blocks the ideal path back with our egg.

In these cases of emergency, I recommend immediately sheathing your weapons and executing one of the following evasive maneuvers:

  • Superman Dive (Sprint + Dodge) – Temporarily hides you underground while sliding forward quickly. Use to bypass monsters in tight tunnels!
  • Wirebug Retreat – Grapple away with egg in hand using Wirebugs. Just beware falling from heights.
  • Flash Bomb – Stuns threats briefly so you can sprint past in a pinch. But the effect wears off quickly!

Follow those last-resort tactics combined with the route above, and I guarantee you‘ll safely arrive back at Sandy Plains’ main camp with your Rhenoplos prize intact!

Why Avoid Custom Sub-Camps When Carrying Eggs?

Especially when the trek feels long and tedious, setting up Sub-Camps then using them as checkpoints to temporarily deposit carried ingredients is an appealing strategy.

However, I cannot stress this enough: do NOT stash eggs in Sub-Camp supply boxes!

Despite providing quick respites from sprinting across zones, delivering Account Items to custom camps unfortunately does not register quest completion when Yomogi specifically requested returning the egg to the Sandy Plains Camp.

I learned this the hard way after once accidentally turning in my hard-earned egg at a Sub-Camp. Only after retreading my steps back to the Rhenoplos Nest did I discover base camp delivery is compulsory.

So heed my warning – only use the Large Supply Box found in Sandy Plains‘ central Area 2 camp to officially finish the job!

Canteen Impact From Completing Delivery Requests

As referenced earlier, therewards for braving this egg-gathering challenge include claiming Yomogi‘s new Dizzybloom Dango buff for temporary monster ailment buildup boosts.

But on a grander scale, fulfilling the Canteen chef instructor‘s ingredient requests each contribute to unlocking additional food buffs and customization:

  • After a couple delivery turn-ins, you unlock another veggie type
  • Contributing rare resources promotes new meat options
  • Eventually second food page unlocks granting bonus skill combos

So while the individual process of tracking down a Rhenoplos egg admittedly feels mundane, collectively these gutsier side quests gradually expand the diversity of Hunting Helpers you can activate pre-hunt!

Rare Variant Eggs – The True Endgame

When reaching higher hunter ranks, the nests peppered across Monster Hunter‘s landscapes begin housing ultra-rare egg variants from Elder Dragon-class monsters.

For example, veterans may eventually discover Apex Rhenoplos Eggs when revisiting the Area 11 nest.

Apex Rhenoplos EggAll Resistances ⬆️

As displayed in the table above, these shiny egg iterations infuse your Dango with incredibly potent effects. Finding them requires patience and perseverance however – I‘m still on the hunt for my first Gold Rhenoplos egg after 900 hours!

So if you ever feel up for elevating an ordinary egg quest with some added endgame excitement, return to the Rhenoplos Nest in Sandy Plains‘ Area 11 once achieving higher Master Ranks.

You might just encounter the super rare egg variants that eluded me for so long…
