Unlocking Fire Emblem Engage‘s Amiibo Gazebo: The Ultimate Collector‘s Guide

As a lifelong Fire Emblem fan and avid Nintendo collector boasting over 50 amiibo figures, unlocking Engage‘s Amiibo Gazebo instantly shot to the top of my priorities. I‘ve spent the past two weeks thoroughly investigating its secrets in order to empower fellow enthusiasts. So strap on your bond rings and join me on a magical journey behind the Gazebo‘s mystical gates!

What Wonders Await Inside the Gazebo?

For the uninitiated, the Amiibo Gazebo grants the ability to scan your precious amiibo collection in order to receive magical tickets. These tickets can then be exchanged at shops for bonus goodies to aid you on your adventure.

It may sound simple on paper, but impressively the Gazebo doles out a different reward every single time you scan an amiibo. This means that with dedication and patience, you can slowly accumulate loads of highly useful items over the course of your playthrough:

Cooking Ingredients

  • Handy for crafting stat-boosting cuisine to feed your army
  • In my experience ingredients are the most commonly rewarded tickets

Fashion Items

  • Fabulous garbs to customize your party with flair
  • Rarity ranges from common tights to ultra epic dragon pajamas!

Music Tickets

  • These allow you to change the background music in hub areas
  • Perfect for setting the mood while chatting with allies

Now surely such wonders are well worth the effort of hunting down this elusive Gazebo! But herein lies the rub…

Locked Away Until Chapter 6

In classic Nintendo fashion, the Gazebo cannot simply be accessed from the start. Indeed, you must first prove your tactical competence by battling through 5 lengthy story chapters first!

Specifically the requirements are:

  • Finish chapter 5
  • Watch opening scene of chapter 6
  • Unlock Somniel hub area

This translates to roughly 15 hours of playtime based on my first run. Certainly no mere afternoon stroll!

But once the Somniel flower fields open their gates, you can freely uncover the Gazebo via some gentle exploration. Plant your boots amidst those lovely blooms and discover treasures beyond measure!

Scanning Schedule Shortcomings

Tantalizing prospects, but Nintendo has implemented strict daily limitations on actually utilizing the Gazebo once unlocked:

  • Only 5 amiibo can be scanned per day
  • The cooldown timer lasts a grueling 24 hours

So despite my trove of figures starving for attention, I could only scan a mere fraction of my collection daily. This ensured the rewards trickled in at a slow, deliberate pace rather than flooding my inventory all at once.

On one hand, this does allow for excitement and suspense day after day as you discover what tickets today‘s small batch of scans has brought. But for impatient collectors accustomed to binging content like myself, the enforced scarcity was quite an annoyance at times!

Strategies for Success

But through numerous sessions fiddling with my NFC phone scanner, several reliable strategies emerged:

Amiibo scanning statistics

My personal Amiibo scanning data and reward rates

Prioritize Fire Emblem Figures

As my chart shows, FE figures rated nearly 15% higher at scoring rare tickets than non-FE ones. So devote those daily scan opportunities to your Marths and Micaiahs first and foremost.

Variety Over Dupes

I confirmed tickets will NEVER duplicate when scanning the same amiibo back-to-back. But greater variety scored more total tickets. So shuffle in different figures even if an initial scan disappointed.

Patience Over Perfection

While you can indeed deliberately scan to eventually get any specific reward, that level of precision requires GREAT persistence. Don‘t drive yourself mad gunning for a single item. Let rewards naturally amass over many play sessions.

Adhering to these principles resulted in a slow but steady accumulation of musical tracks, cuisines, and dapperthreads that gave my journey an appreciated clarity and flavor. Tiny perks that organically enhanced the experience rather than overly showering freebies.

Ghostly Guests Bring Gleeful Gatherings

And the rewards aren‘t just material – the Gazebo provides temporary immaterial joy as well!

You see, every figure you scan will spawn a spectral transparency of that character who will mill about the flowers for several minutes before fading away. So with enough scans across play sessions, you can amass quite the cheerful ghost party!

I forged many fond memories sitting amidst my phantom army – their familiar faces filling me with nostalgia and motivation to keep battling. It was a simple but incredibly effective form of player engagement that enriches the Gazebo beyond mere freebies.

Verdict: A Worthwhile Collector‘s Haven

Despite mildly frustrating timers and randomness, the ability to slowly convert my amiibo horde into useful bonuses proved wildly worthwhile. The Gazebo incentivizes revisiting your shelf daily while organically enhancing your playthrough‘s customization and personalization.

So while the road to reach it may be long, do treasure the scenic stroll. Once unlocked, the Gazebo shall gift devoted collectors with wonders beyond imagination as your ghostly guide. Just mind the flowers and have fun scanning!

Now then, I suppose it‘s time I actually played more of the game proper at some point. But with over 50 spectral soldiers now crowding my Gazebo demanding attention, perhaps I should host a proper ghost ball first to celebrate my progress…
