Cracking The Lock Code
We know where to locate the Level 1 Locks, but how exactly do you spring them open? The secret lies in the enchanted lockpuzzle mini-game.
Activating alohomora shifts you inside a goblin-made lock sporting fanciful gears and two rotating interior dials – a green outer dial and a red inner one. Your goal is to shift both dials until their gears align and simultaneously turn.
The lock will then click open rewarding your mastery! Easier said than done though…here are some tips from a puzzle pro:
Carefully edge the green dial FIRST – use the left control stick to slowly adjust the green outer dial back and forth. You‘re looking for the activation point where the exterior gears start reacting and moving. This can take a delicate, patient touch!
Hold green steady and shift red SECOND – with green fixed in the activated position, edge the red inner dial with the right stick. Again go slowly until its gears also catch and start spinning.
Goblin metalwork in action! Subtle movements are key
Confirm BOTH dials aligned – when properly positioned, both sets of antiquated gears will be turning quickly with the dials glowing. The entire lock shine brightly then slide away granting access!
With practice, you‘ll soon be popping Level 1 Locks in seconds. My record is a blistering 4.2 seconds!
For extra assistance, use arrow notch alignment markers carved into the gears. Line up the dials perfectly in the notches so minimal movement activates the gears.
Surmounting The Next Summit
