One of my finest achievements was utilizing Etie to easily clear the challenging Ruins of the Divine Dragon skirmish despite its suboptimal layout for ranged units.
Past failures on this map stemmed from its multi-height layered cliffs surrounded by thick forests – giving melee enemies tons of cover as they approached my lines. The Bolt Axe/Magic wielding Pirates would make quick work of my deployed flying units too.
But I formulated a strategy that transformed Etie into an untouchable engine of destruction:
- Equipped Evasion Ring and Prayer Ring to make her near-impossible to hit
- Had a dedicated Healer feeding her HP/Energize buffs every turn
- Provided extra movement from Boots so she could dominate the central cliffs
