- Countering enemy projectile spam + additional mobs – Heatwave nullifies ranged attacks while charging up shockwave damage to one-shot smaller targets
- Blocking undodgeable charge attacks from bosses – Many late game bosses possess unblockable charge moves that inflict 80% HP damage or instant death. Popping Heatwave right before impact negates the blow completely allowing you to counterattack safely

- Funnel enemies through tight chokepoints like corridors
- Herd melee only enemies with ranged attacks
- Lure enemies off ledges/rooftops then cast Flames of Rebirth mid-air
