The Ultimate Kastov 762 Loadout Guide for Warzone 2

Warzone 2 gameplay

The Kastov 762 assault rifle is one of the most popular weapons in Warzone 2, thanks to its high damage output, manageable recoil, and versatility at multiple ranges. In this comprehensive guide, I‘ll share the perfect loadout to maximize the Kastov‘s potential across Caldera and DMZ.

Overview

The Kastov 762 packs a punch with its high damage profile, enabling it to down enemies quickly with just a few shots. It has fairly low recoil that is easy to control even during sustained fire. The gun also has great iron sights for short to medium range engagements.

While the Kastov loses out to some assault rifles at longer ranges, it still holds its own when kitted for range. With the right attachments, it can beam enemies even past 100 meters.

Below is the loadout that I‘ve found optimal for dominating Caldera and DMZ with the Kastov 762.

Attachments

Muzzle: PolarFire-S

The PolarFire-S muzzle boosts bullet velocity significantly while also reducing recoil. This makes hitting targets at a distance much easier. The sound suppression is an added bonus for staying off the minimap.

Barrel: IG-K30 406MM

This extended barrel further improves bullet velocity and damage range. The slight increase in recoil is easily managed with the right grip. It’s a must-have for maxing out the Kastov’s range potential.

Underbarrel: Phase-3 Grip

The Phase-3 grip gives a nice boost to recoil stabilization and aiming idle stability. It ensures the gun stays steady while aiming down sights, with minimal swaying. This allows for more precise shots, especially when tapping the trigger at longer ranges.

Laser: FSS OLE-V Laser

I prefer the OLE-V laser for the major accuracy and recoil control improvements it provides while in ADS. The visible green laser can give away your position, but that tradeoff is worth it for the substantial recoil control boost.

Optic: Cronen Mini Pro

The Cronen Mini Pro reflex optic provides a clean red dot for quick target acquisition up close. The 1.5x magnification also helps extend the range a bit when needing to challenge enemies past 100 meters. The snappy ADS speed pairs perfectly with the mobility of the Kastov 762.

Magazine & Ammo

I highly recommend equipping the 40-round magazine to ensure you have enough ammo to wipe a full squad in one magazine. With the high fire rate and damage of the Kastov, you‘ll burn through the smaller magazine sizes extremely quickly.

In terms of ammo type, I switch between regular and high velocity rounds depending on the engagement range I expect. High velocity is great for larger maps like Ashika Island that have long sightlines. Meanwhile, regular ammo works well enough on maps like El Asilo that cater more to close quarters combat.

Perks

For perks, Double Time is great for a rushdown playstyle, letting you quickly push enemies right after getting a down. Tracker highlights enemy footsteps and makes it easy to hunt down injured players. Amped speeds up weapon swap and rocket launcher reload speed for added versatility.

Quick Fix is also viable instead of Double Time if you prefer immediately triggering health regen after getting kills. This can get you back in the fight more quickly after close-quarter engagements.

Equipment

The Stim tactical equipment allows you to quickly reposition and plate up as needed. It has too much utility to pass up.

For lethal equipment, Semtex grenades are ideal for flushing out campers and finishing downed enemies behind cover. Frags work well too but have a shorter throw range. snapshots are also viable to scout buildings and reveal enemy positions before pushing.

Playstyle Tips

The Kastov excels as an all-rounder AR. I pair it with an SMG like the Fennec 45 to create an extremely potent hybrid loadout. The Kastov handles medium to long range engagements while the Fennec demolishes in close quarters.

Remember to mount the Kastov whenever possible for even better recoil control and accuracy at range. The gun has fairly clear iron sights so you can challenge enemies even without an optic if needed.

Be sure to carry extra ammo attachments on your Fennec to ensure you have enough backup ammo. Restock with ammo crates whenever you get the chance.

Prioritize headshots with the Kastov to maximize its already impressive damage output. Even if you don‘t crack the helmet, the aim punch will make it much harder for enemies to return accurate fire.

The Kastov lacks a bit in mobility compared to some other ARs. Attachments like the OLE-V laser and Phase grip help mitigate this weakness so you can quickly react to close-quarter threats. Play around cover whenever challenging longer lines of sight.

That wraps up this ultimate guide on dominating Warzone 2 with the Kastov 762! Let me know which AR you prefer running in the comments. And as always, drop a like if this guide helped you secure more wins in Verdansk!
