The Complete Marvel Snap Quinjet Card Guide [Expert Strategies]

As an avid Marvel Snap gamer, I‘ve played hundreds of matches with and against the extremely versatile Quinjet card. This powerful uncommon can single-handedly enable game-winning combos if utilized properly.

In this complete expert Quinjet guide, I‘ll share everything I‘ve learned about mastering this incredible engine card to dominate matches.

What Makes Quinjet So Strong?

Here‘s a quick refresher on what the Quinjet card does:

Quinjet:

  • 1 Energy cost
  • 2 Power
  • "Cards that did not start in your deck cost 1 less"

Quinjet card closeup

This ability might seem simple, but it enables some extremely powerful plays. Reducing the cost of cards from random generation effects, opponent‘s decks, locations, etc. lets you cheat tons of energy.

You can play beefy 5 or 6 cost cards as early as Turn 3 or 4! This allows crazy mid-game power swings to take over locations or surprise lethal finishers.

Furthermore, the discount applies for THE ENTIRE MATCH. An early Quinjet means potential energy savings every single turn.

To demonstrate, let‘s analyze the value generation with a Turn 1 Quinjet over a full 6 turn game:

Turn 1: 1 energy saved
Turn 2: 2 energy saved
Turn 3: 3 energy saved
Turn 4: 4 energy saved
Turn 5: 5 energy saved
Turn 6: 6 energy saved

Total Value: 21 energy saved!

As you can see, the savings add up enormously over time. Now let‘s look at some truly dangerous combos and deck builds that abuse this…

Quinjet Card Combos

Quinjet has fantastic synergy with any cards that randomly generate new card plays. Here are some of my personal favorite combos:

The Collector

The Collector is already top tier for insane value generation. Combine him with Quinjet reducing those randomly generated cards‘ costs, and you have a combo that can run away with games in a couple turns!

Following Collector on turn 3 with turn 4 Devil Dinosaur into Squirrel Girl into Viper into…you get the picture. The immense card advantage lets you vomit your hand out with beefed up discounted minions turn after turn.

Mantis + Devil Dinosaur

This pairing utilizes cheap ongoing token generation that fills the board rapidly with discounted minions. Mantis pulling from the deck gets cheaper Overruns, bots, grenades to buff your board. Devil Dinosaur floods lanes and pressures cubes.

With Quinjet reducing their already low costs, you can quickly amass a gigantic board by turn 4 or 5 and wreck opponent‘s cubes.

Infinaut/Colossus

As any experienced Snap player knows…if Infinaut sticks on board for a turn it usually spells defeat. Normally costing a steep 7 energy, he can be played very early with Quinjet for a quick checkmate.

Follow up Quinjet with pooled energy on turn 5 and you could drop two Infinauts at once! Good luck removing 28 power with 5 cards or less…

Same goes for the 6 cost Colossus – a complete lane wipe combined with a beefy 20 power body.

As you can see, the Quinjet enables some nearly unstoppable combos! Now let‘s look at some ideal deck builds to maximize its power.

Quinjet Focused Deck Builds

Here are 3 of my favorite deck builds centered around unleashing the Quinjet:

Collector Quinjet Control

Core Cards:

  • The Collector
  • Quinjet

Token Support:

  • Sword Master
  • Devil Dinosaur
  • Ninja

Board Control:

  • Psylocke
  • Jessica Jones
  • Hobgoblin

Finishers:

  • Doctor Doom
  • Infinaut

This well rounded build leverages Quinjet‘s discount on The Collector plus cheap token generators to control locations with card advantage and mid game board floods. It stocks up energy to finish opponents quickly with giant finishers out of nowhere.

Quinjettempo Storm

Core Cards:

  • Quinjet
  • Nick Fury
  • Squirrel Girl

Swarm Support:

  • Nightcrawler
  • Hell Cow
  • Reaper
  • Ninja

Buffs:

  • Angela
  • Ironheart

Removal:

  • Wolfsbane
  • Rocket Raccoon

The goal is sticking early Quinjet and mass flooding the board with recursive token spam buffed by Angela, Ironheart, Hellcow, and other modifiers. Squirrel Girl gets nuts with 1-cost overruns, reapers, and grenades threatening a nasty finish.

Onslaught Quinjet

Core Cards:

  • Quinjet
  • Onslaught

Energy Ramp:

  • Leader

Control Package:

  • Jessica Jones
  • Iron Man
  • Psylocke

Other Midrange Threats:

  • Black Panther
  • Hobgoblin
  • Zero

Rounding out the deck with more removal, protection, and mid-game beaters lets you power out enough ongoing effects. This fuels Onslaught who gets out of control quickly with the energy advantage.

Give these fun and powerful decks a try with the unlimited casual mode before hitting ranked!

Mastering Quinjet Gameplay

Now to cover some advanced Quinjet gameplay tips and tricks I‘ve learned firsthand over many hard fought battles:

Play Around Enemy Removal

Cards like Cosmo, Hela, and Oblivion can ruin your Quinjet value engine before it gets going. Try to bait out their removal first before going for your Quinjet if possible.

And don‘t overextend other cards before Quinjet – you want to force them to have multiple answers.

Stay Unpredictable

Keep the opponent guessing to what your win condition is. Is your deck aggro focused? A big late game bomb build?

Never overcommit one direction then suddenly shift with surprise discount finishers from an unseen angle!

Count Their Mana

Pay attention to what turns certain key enemy cards can be played and hold Quinjet until just after. For example, turn 3 is a common Hela timing. Play Quinjet turn 4 instead after baiting that out.

Advance Your Board Late Game

Just because you played Quinjet early doesn‘t mean you committed to anything. Keep advancing your midlane builds turn after turn depending on their deck and disrupt their win conditions!

Keep Them in the Dark

Don‘t reveal Quinjet is in your deck if not played early. Then surprise opponents turns 5/6 with a game swinging huge discounted threat they didn‘t anticipate!

Through extensive experimentation with numerous styles of Quinjet decks, mastering small optimizations like this makes a big difference against skilled competition.

Now to quickly give my thoughts playing both with and against Quinjet from firsthand experience…

A Quinjet Veteran‘s Perspective

As someone whose battled both for and against Quinjet many times across the ranks, here is the insight I‘ve gained:

Playing Quinjet

  • The feeling when you stick turn 1 Quinjet undefended is glorious
  • Chaining 4-cost + cards turn after turn with Collector never gets old
  • Opponents visibly panicking when you discount drop Colossus or Infinaut is extremely satisfying

However, also beware falling into these traps:

  • Having Quinjet instantly destroyed by Cyclops is utterly devastating
  • Dropping Quinjet into Elektra when she clearly had 4 unused energy bricking your next turn really stings
  • Wasting early pooled energy dropping Quinjet just to have it Oblit‘d without any value feels awful

Fighting Against Quinjet

As the opponent, I‘ve found if you don‘t answer Quinjet quickly, buckle up for an uphill battle:

  • Unswered Quinjet into Collector is almost inevitably a quick loss
  • Getting flooded by endless waves of cheap minions drains cubes fast
  • Out of nowhere discounted late game bombs are hard to recover from

Thankfully, you can really ruin a Quinjet player‘s game plan with the right tech cards like Killmonger, Enchantress, and Destroy effects pre-emptively played.

Overall from both sides of the matchup, proper timing and decision making around the Quinjet seems to almost always determine the victor. Use this guide to get a deep understanding of how to pilot Quinjet successfully!

Closing Thoughts

That sums up my comprehensive Marvel Snap Quinjet guide, with numerous tips accumulated from hours of game time experience using this exceptional card.

To recap, mastering Quinjet revolves heavily around proper timing to bait removal, leveraging card advantage generators, and surgically deploying unexpected discounted finishers.
