The Cathedral of the Omens is one of the most intriguing areas in Remnant 2. This majestic cathedral holds many secrets and challenges for players to uncover. In this guide, we‘ll walk you through how to solve the cathedral‘s main puzzle and unlock its rewards.
Overview of the Cathedral
The Cathedral of the Omens is located in the Yaesha region. Yaesha is a mystical land filled with ancient ruins, magical forests, and forgotten temples. The cathedral itself is an ornate gothic structure decorated with ominous statues and arcane symbols.
Upon entering the cathedral, you‘ll come across a large chamber with a complex mechanical puzzle. Solving this puzzle is the key to unlocking the cathedral‘s secrets.
The puzzle consists of three rotating discs stacked vertically. Each disc has different symbols and shapes etched into it. You can rotate each disc independently using three levers in the room.
Your goal is to rotate the discs to create specific shadows that match the patterns on the chamber‘s two sealed doors. If you cast the right shadows, the doors will open to reveal hidden rooms containing treasures.
Solving the First Door Puzzle
When you enter the puzzle room, you‘ll see a door on the left wall marked with an upright triangle symbol. This is the first of two doors we need to unlock.
Here are the steps to solve the puzzle for the first door:
- Locate the lever in the center of the room. This rotates the top disc with the triangle shape on it.
- Rotate the top disc so the triangle shadow matches the upright triangle symbol above the door. The points of both triangles should line up.
- Now find the lever on the right side of the room. This one rotates the middle disc which has sun, moon and animal symbols.
- Rotate the middle disc so that the sun and moon symbols are blocked by the shadow of the left circle on the bottom disc. Also position the animal symbol underneath the triangle shadow.
- Finally, use the lever on the left side to rotate the bottom disc so the right circle creates a halo shadow around the sun and moon symbols.
- If done correctly, the door should now unlock itself!
Behind the unlocked door is a treasure chest containing a Faith Seed. Faith Seeds are crafting materials used to enhance weapons and armor.
Solving the Second Door Puzzle
On the right side of the puzzle room you‘ll notice another sealed door marked with a sideways triangle symbol. Unlocking this one takes a few more steps:
- As before, use the central lever to position the triangle shadow in the same tilted orientation as the triangle above the door.
- Now focus on the middle disc. Rotate it to block the sun and moon with a circle shadow again. This time, position the animal symbol directly beneath the triangle.
- Leave the bottom disc as is. No need to adjust the circles.
- If configured correctly, the second door will now unlock!
Behind this door, you‘ll find two chests filled with useful loot and crafting materials to aid you on your journey.
