Gotham Knights is the exciting new open-world action RPG that lets players take control of Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood or Robin as they defend Gotham City in Batman‘s absence. One of the game‘s key collectibles that provides useful upgrades are Batarangs – Batman‘s iconic throwing weapons.
There are 60 Batarangs scattered across Gotham‘s five boroughs for players to locate. Finding them all allows you to fully upgrade your character‘s combat abilities. In this complete guide, we‘ll outline the exact location of every Batarang, with maps and tips on how to collect them.
Why Find All the Batarangs?
Collecting Batarangs serves several useful purposes:
- Each one found permanently boosts your melee damage
- Collecting all in a borough unlocks an Ability Point
- They are required to fully upgrade your character‘s combat skills
- Finding them all allows you to craft the powerful Diamond Batarang
So putting in the effort is well rewarded. The Diamond Batarang hits much harder than the standard version and can instantly knock out basic enemies.
All Batarang Locations by Borough
Gotham City is divided into five massive boroughs. Below we have detailed maps and instructions showing where to find all 12 Batarangs hidden in each area.
Lower Gotham Batarangs
Lower Gotham hides Batarangs in The Cauldron and Southside districts.
- #1: On the rooftop overlooking Gotham Bridge‘s south anchorage point. Use grapple points to ascend.
- #2: Inside a shipping container beneath the Gotham Bridge, south side.
- #3: Atop the radio tower just east of the Dixon Docks fast travel point.
- #4: The rooftop of the Waynetech building northwest of the Gotham Bridge.
- #5: Underneath the pipeline west of Lyntown Avenue, use grapple points on the pipe to find it.
- #6: Carefully ascend STAR Labs using grapple points and locate the Batarang at the very top of the antenna spire.
- #7: Atop the southern storage tanks at Cobblepot Steel, west of Lyntown Avenue fast travel point.
- #8: West end of the Madison Industrial building‘s rooftop, southwest from the Gotham Bridge point.
- #9: At the peak of the STAGG Enterprises tower, accessed via the Cauldron district‘s northwest rooftops.
- #10: On the cylindrical water tank just east of McCrea Avenue in The Cauldron district.
- #11: Atop the Big Belly Burger sign southwest of Cauldron‘s Harbor Drive fast travel point. Use grapples to safely reach it.
- #12: Under the south side of the Gotham Bridge, against the support pillar walls.
Downtown Gotham Batarangs
The Financial District and West End neighborhoods contain another 12 Batarangs to uncover.
- #13: On the upper west face of the Elliot Center skyscraper along Grand Avenue. Ascend with grapples.
- #14: High atop the GSC building two blocks east from Gotham Tower Apartments.
- #15: Against the wall below the central bell tower of Gotham Union Station, west side. Use surrounding grapples.
- #16: On the exterior west corner of the Gotham Tower Apartments complex.
- #17: Along the building right across Westward Bridge from Quartz Labs, against the wall.
- #18: Atop the lookout post on the Iceberg Lounge‘s rooftop, west of the GCPD precinct.
- #19: Across the street from Storrow Tower Gardens, below the ‘M‘ logo mounted vertically on a building wall.
- #20: Above the entranceway of the Gotham City Gazette building, two blocks south from Storrow Tower Gardens.
- #21: Across North Madison Ave from Monarch Theater, on an angled rooftop with a water tank.
- #22: Near Gotham Heights Reservoir‘s eastern water tower against a building wall, along Grant Ave.
- #23: Hospital rooftop northwest of Grant Ave / Fibonacci Ave intersection.
- #24: Against the wall between Westward Bridge and the GCPD lower west wing.
Historic Gotham Batarangs
The next 12 Batarangs await discovery in Historic Gotham, split across Old Gotham and Tricorner Island.

- #26: Across from Gotham City Hall where Finger Ave terminates at Grand Ave against a blue wall.
- #27: Hidden atop the bell tower of Gotham Cathedral northwest from City Hall, tricky grappling required.
- #28: West pylon atop the Kane Bridge between Fort Clinton and Fort Dumas in Old Gotham.
- #29: Against the southeast face of a lift tower carrying aerial tram cables, located along Wycliffe Ave.
- #30: High up the stone walls of Gotham Cathedral off Bay Street, where the road and walkway meet.
- #31: Center mount of the oxidized green Statue of Justice on Tricorner Island.
- #32: Around the left rear side of Fort Dumas, against the exterior stone walls nearest the cliffside.
- #33: Beneath the underside of Robert Kane Memorial Bridge‘s central span.
- #34: Small electrical relay station two blocks southwest of Tricorner‘s GCPD HQ.
- #35: Top of a mariner navigational beacon just offshore from the Tricorner Island lighthouse park.

New Gotham Batarangs
Venture into the Bowery and Otisburg neighborhoods within New Gotham to snag 12 more Batarangs.
- #37: Center of the Deeply Fishy restaurant building‘s rooftop, one block south of Sheldon Hill Rd.
- #38: Hanging off the bottom of the tall radio tower standing near Cape Carmine.
- #39: Against the wall of a squat building just northwest from the water towers at Newton Place.
- #40: Has fallen down between Monarch Theater‘s dual marquees along Chamberlayne Ave.
- #41: Tucked in the alley between Irving Ln and Monroe Ave, against the wall under an external pipe assembly.
- #42: Hidden around the left side of a water tower atop an apartment block southwest from Crown Point Ave.
- #43: Lower rooftop of the Manheim Ave Rail Yard control center, just northwest from the Scituate St Rail Depot fast travel point.
- #44: External passageway off the southeast corner of Luchessi Apartments between Scituate St and Croydon Ave.
- #45: Wedged into the narrow maintenance platform halfway up the construction crane‘s vertical support, northwest from the rail depot. Use surrounding grapple points to safely reach it.
- #46: Bell tower of the church at Berger Ave and Turnbull St intersection. Ascend via window sills and rooftop grapple points.
- #47: Façade of the Gotham Central train station, directly facing Wayne Tower down the street.
- #48: Alcove tucked under the stairwell accessing the underground entrance southwest of Wayne Tower.
North Gotham Batarangs
The last borough contains 12 more Batarangs divided between Bristol, Gotham Heights and Robinson Park districts.
- #49: Rooftop water tank of an apartment block east across from Gotham University along University Drive.
- #50: Side of the brick Gotham City Bankfacing the Exhibition Ave and Chambers St intersection. Use surrounding rooftop vantage points and grapple down carefully.
- #51: Wall mounted between Hemlock St and Bierce Ave across from Gannon St on the north building facades.
- #52: Upper west rooftop of Robbins Insurance HQ along Hemlock St west of Bierce Ave.
- #53: Against Ivy University‘s centralized brick clock tower along Central Ave.
- #54: Backside of the curved Gotham City Reservoir control building, nearest the waterside pedestrian walking path.
- #55: Side of the pumping station partly under the elevated freeway, right by the Robinson Park Reservoir‘s east fast travel point.
- #56: Roof crest of the SunDollar Coffee shop bordering the park playground, along Beacon Ave across from GCPD HQ‘s backlot.
- #57: Very top of the Warehouse 52 apartment block at the corner of Exhibition Ave and Chambers St intersection.
- #58: Blue wall behind the shorter mixed-use structure on Beacon St across from Bristol County Savings Bank.
- #59: Tank platform underneath the twin water towers beside Merit Ave, just south from Bristol Parkway rail tracks.
- #60: Upper edge of the WayneTech facility‘s angled grey façade along Exhibition Ave east of Merit Ave. Glide from the roof of the adjacent buildng to safely reach it.
Batarang Upgrades
As mentioned previously, collecting Batarangs serves more purpose than ticking off map icons. Each one permanently buffs a small amount of melee damage output. This starts to add up after finding 10-20 of them, quickly improving your combat prowess.
Fully exploring a borough also grants an additional Ability Point you can spend on new skills. Ificlearing all 60 Batarangs, you‘ll unlock:
- 12 bonus Ability Points
- Up to +60 melee damage buff
These bonuses help when tackling Gotham Knights‘ toughest optional boss fights, like the various Belfry infiltration events.
Your reward for finding every Batarang across all of Gotham City is the Diamond Batarang gadget blueprint. This hits harder than the standard version while knocking out basic foes instantly. It provides a great advantage during the challenging late game siege event boss fights versus Talons.
