Elden Ring: Best Confessor Weapons [Top 5]

Elden Ring Confessor

As an avid Elden Ring player with over 1000 hours logged, the Confessor class has become one of my favorites. I‘ve experimented with many different Confessor weapons and builds, so I‘m excited to share my top 5 picks for the best Confessor weapons in Elden Ring.

When selecting the ideal Confessor weapons, you need to consider a few key factors:

  • Scaling – The weapon should scale well with multiple Confessor stats like Strength, Dexterity, and Faith. This boosts your attack power.
  • Holy Damage – Many great Confessor weapons deal bonus holy damage which is super effective against undead and demonic enemies.
  • Utility – Choose a weapon with useful skills/abilities like bleeding, shield piercing etc. This diversifies your moveset.
  • Availability – Some awesome endgame weapons are impractical picks early on. I‘ve highlighted obtainable weapons for all stages of the game.

Now without further ado, here are the top 5 weapons I recommend for the Elden Ring Confessor class:

1. Winged Scythe

The Winged Scythe is hands down the best early-game Confessor weapon in Elden Ring. Here‘s why it excels:

  • Deals holy damage which scales strongly with Faith.
  • Causes bleed buildup passive ability which shreds foes‘ HP.
  • Long reach to outspace enemies in PvE and PvP.
  • Obtainable just after you defeat Godrick the Grafted.

To get it, head to the Tombsward Ruins in Weeping Peninsula. From the Site of Grace, drop down into the catacombs and loot the corpse hanging off the ledge.

The only downside is that you can‘t customize the Winged Scythe with Ashes of War. But you won‘t need to – it‘s already a powerhouse for Faith builds.

2. Coded Sword

The Coded Sword is a humble yet deadly strength/Faith weapon option. Here‘s what gives this sword an edge:

  • Ignores shield defense with its unique Unblockable Blade ability.
  • Deals 85 bonus holy damage scaling with Faith.
  • Extremely low attribute requirements to wield.
  • Retrieve it early from Leyndell, Royal Capital without fighting bosses.

This sword lacks the raw power of endgame weapons. However, the unblockable attacks combined with holy damage punch way above its weight class. It‘s a great backup sidearm too.

3. Blasphemous Blade

Veteran Confessors need to get their hands on the divine Blasphemous Blade. Here‘s why:

  • One of the highest Faith scaling ratios in the game.
    -recover HP with every kill.
-130 Fire damage melts enemies weak to flames.
    -Devastating area-of-effect Ash of War.
-Obtain from Rykard, Lord of Blasphemy boss soul.

The sheer Holy damage and sustain makes Blasphemous Blade a top contender for best-in-class Faith weapons. Alongside insane power, you constantly replenish HP ensuring you can keep up the assault.

4. Golden Order Greatsword

This golden greatsword offers colossal Strength/Faith scaling and utility:

  • Appears after you defeat Starscourge Radahn.
  • Activates unique golden shockwave ability on heavy attacks
  • Can temporarily buff holy damage and poise break
  • Versatile moveset for closing or keeping distance

It may seem like a quality Strength weapon initially. But unlocking its Faith-focused skills transforms it into a mighty holy battleaxe that can crush Elden Ring bosses with ease.

5. Sacred Relic Sword

And finally, we have the mammoth Sacred Relic Sword. Don‘t let its physical damage fool you:

  • Acquired after defeating final boss and accessing NG+.
  • Passively generates a holy aura that damages nearby foes
  • Unleashes a ranged holy beam wave with the skill
  • Colossal damage even on minimal stat investment

The sheer size and power of this sword are insane. It‘s basically a giant glowing stick of death. The launched projectiles end most trash mobs and deal nasty damage to bosses. And the passive aura eats away at any foolish enough to draw near.

While waiting to access this beast of a weapon, the others above will more than suffice to crush your enemies.

Honorable Mentions

Of course, tons of other excellent Confessor weapons exist like:

  • Treespear – A halberd dealing scarlet rot and holy damage. Found in War-Dead Catacombs dungeon.
  • Gargoyle‘s Black Halberd – Reward for Valiant Gargoyle duo boss fight. Give enemies poison and holy damage double dip.
  • Miquellan Knight‘s Sword – Obtained after defeating Loretta in Haligtree area. Comes with useful projectile magic wave skill.

And if you prefer quicker dexterous swordplay, katanas like Nagakiba infused with sacred or flame art affinity work great too.
