Life has been a whirlwind of changes lately. One of the biggest changes is in my employement. Today is my last day as a full-time employee of Allegacy Federal Credit Union—referred to in my previous blog postings simply as “my day job” or “the credit union.” Next week I start working full-time for SharePoint Solutions. Iinitially, I will be developing courseware and teaching classes, but over time I’ll wear a number of hats just as I have for the credit union.

Next week I’ll be attending the SharePoint Connections conference in Las Vegas. That sounds like a pretty nice way to spend my first week on a new job.

If any of my readers will be in Las Vegas between November 5th and 9th, and would like to meet in person, feel free to drop me an email and we’ll see if we can arrange a time and place to get together.

Also, I’m looking for ideas for things to do in Vegas while I’m not in conference. I’m sure that I’ll have some work to do while I’m in the hotel room, but I also want to take advantage of some of the opportunities that I have while visiting the city. I don’t drink adult beverages, nor do I gamble, and I’m incredibly devoted to my beautiful wife Sandy, so please keep those things in mind with your recommendations. I don’t usually spend much money on personal entertainment that doesn’t also include my wife, but I really want to see Blue Man Group, so I may take in that show while I’m out there. What else do you think I need to see and do in Las Vegas?
